Number of smoking teenagers in USA has reached historical minimum, writes The Huffington Post.

Interrogation results have shown that cigarettes smoke 17 % of upperclassmen and 10.6 % of total number of teenagers what is the lowest result from beginning of researches in 1975.

Besides, significantly has increased number of those who has never tried smoking.

According to specialists on reducing number of smokers influenced increase of taxes on tobacco products that caused increase of price on cigarette and made their opinion accessible for schoolchild. It is also marked that positive influence of anti-tobacco campaign in mass-media.

In the meantime The Wall Street Journal informs that decrease of cigarettes' popularity among teenagers is observed against the backdrop of marihuana consumption that has already reached maximum for the last four years. However, edition notes that rates of increase have decreased lately.
