Swedish homeless people will get cigarettes for Christmas

In Sweden charitable institution Omsorgsjul - Hemlösa plans to hand out for Christmas 150 packs of cigarettes to homeless people. Charitable institution intends to place cigarette in Christmas gift sets for homeless people.

Idea of the charitable institution head Lennart Cederberg has caused discontent of anti-tobacco activists. Activists from organization Tandvārd mot tobak have declared that cigarettes in Christmas gifts don't push people to healthy and right lifestyle and tobacco distribution is profitable only for tobacco industry.

In his turn Cederberg has advised those who are concerned by non-traditionally gifts to pay attention to a really important problem - a lot of people don't have home. Nobody of those who get help from charitable institution has complaint about cigarettes in gifts and if it happens, cigarettes will be removed from them.

Let's remind that last month New York police officer Lawrence Deprimo after he saw homeless man on the street, gave him boots that he bought in the nearest shop. This story was occasionally shot on mobile phone camera and posted in the Internet by Arizona tourists.
