Bulgaria has introduced ban on smoking. Part 2

This event has caused uproar in Bulgarian society that is known as one of the most smoking in Europe. Tone to discussions was set by deputies that have accused each other during discussions of the whole bag of tricks including limitation of democratic principles. And only party discipline has made ruling parliamentary faction voting pros the law as among them are a lot of smokers as well. Society has polarized as well by splashing out emotions in Internet. And there is an impression that Bulgarians as true Balkan residents are not going to put up with this ban. "I have smoke and will continue smoking" - this words can be seen on all forums. No-smokers behave not less aggressive.

If to put emotions off, it is hard to believe that this ban will be effective. More than half of population, including women and teenagers, light up cigarette regularly. It is impossible to imagine Bulgarian night clubs with no-smoking important guests. Besides, often can be seen how in Sophia restaurants after 10 p.m. personnel puts ashtrays on tables even in non-smoking zones. Not saying about so called garage coffee shops and bars that are a lot in the country and where person who tries to make observation to smoker frequent customer as minimum is threatened with light bodily injuries. Owners of entertaining locations oppose actively as well. They have already protested in the capital and have noted that most of locations can be closed in the nearest future because of Customers outflow what will lead to mass demission of personnel. Buy in social networks were formed numerous groups of smokers' rights defenders. No-smokers celebrate.

So, cannot be excluded variant that this law was accepted "for the sake of appearance", all people know about it but don't hurry to comply it. And if in big cities its' observance can be admitted, in countries and villages it is unlikely.
