If tendency of reducing quantity of smokers continues, by 2050 many important tobacco markets will be reduced to zero - experts are sure of it.

Meanwhile price increase on tobacco products brings growth of profit to tobacco Companies. And such scenario will develop approximately by 2020. In order to change situation Minister for Health Andrew Lansley even has declared at the end of last year about introduction of the rule of plain cigarette packs use. According to bureaucrats' idea, this should protect children from vicious habit.

But according to Citygroup estimations such measures will insignificantly influence quantity of smokers or profit of Companies. "We don't believe that smokers' are attracted by cigarette pack as they already have frightening inscriptions. Besides, a lot of narcotic substances is generally bought without any special package with brand logo", - underline specialists.
