Black Cavendish

Black Cavendish is the more dried up version of usual tobaccos Burley from Tennessee and Kentucky and also some sorts of dark tobaccos of air drying from central Virginia. Such tobaccos are often aromatized by various soaks and herbs.

It is the most famous tobacco in the world. Among all tobaccos that are produced in the world Virginia takes 70%. Name of this sort origin from former Britain colony "Virginia", founded by Sir Walter Raleigh and named in such way in honor of queen Elizabeth I. At present moment tobacco of this brand is growing not only in Virginia State but also in other parts of America, Asia, Africa, South America and Europe. Virginian tobaccos are characterized with high per cent of sugar content and are often used as the base of some mixture but also are perfectly smoked in pure form. They have thin delicate sweetish flavor that is pleasant to feel in the mouth.

Named after name of small Syrian seaport town, Latakia tobacco grows namely in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. This sort is dried up on the sun and as result of this acquires special spicy aroma.

Earlier Perique was used as semi-finished product for snuff tobacco, but at present moment Perique is used in mixtures in very small quantities for giving them an especially delicate flavor. After cropping this tobacco is quickly dried up and than aged during 8-10 months in big oak barrels with plum juice, spices and fruit pulp. As result is received blue-black aromatic tobacco.

Oriental tobaccos

Oriental tobaccos grow in Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Yugoslavia, Albania, Romania and south of Russia also partially in Italy, Lebanon, Iran and Israel. The distinctive feature of this sort are small oval leafs of pale-yellow color with sweet aromatic flavor.

Turkish tobaccos

These tobaccos, despite their name, are generally growing in Greece. They have very pleasant aroma but for various reasons they quite seldom are used in pipe tobaccos, only in exotic mixtures.
